Manchester United could be set to sign the next Ollie Watkins, after taking Exeter City's next wonderkid on trial.
According to Exeter boss Matt Taylor, The Grecians U16 star striker Sonny Cox, is 'the most in demand player' in England.
"Let’s be honest he’s the most, one of the most in demand players at all levels at any age throughout the country, and simply because he scores a lot of goals."
The Devon based club's academy has been in the spotlight recently, following the success of Aston Villa and former Exeter striker Ollie Watkins.
"I think he’s playing in a game tonight, possibly one over the weekend and maybe one at the start of next week," said Taylor.
However, the Exeter boss did reveal that despite going on trial with the Red Devils, Exeter's youth prospect could seal a move to another Premier club.
"Everyone is interested in signing him he’s scored so many goals at youth team level not just 16, but 18s and 23s.
"This is the third Premier League club he’s been to and there will be more in the next couple of months."
Cox was regularly involved with the under-18 squad last season, but has progressed into the First Team training squad since returning for the 2020/21 campaign.
But Matt Taylor clearly thinks Cox's future is set, saying: "I think everyone understands what’s going to happen in relation to Sonny Cox."
Before adding: "He’s certainly one we want to keep, because we want to get him close to the first team and it would be such a shame if he’s another one who goes before his time and before our fans get to see him play."
