PREM PREVIEW: THIS WEEKENDS TOP FOUR GAMES

It's time to celebrate! So chill the drinks, clear the weekend calendar and get ready! Because Premier League football is back and the goals should keep on flying in.

Here are my top four games to look out for this weekend.

EVERTON VS LIVERPOOL - SAT 17TH - 12:30 PM (Live on BT Sport)

The Premier League will kick off in style this weekend, with one of the most anticipated games in the footballing calendar.

Last season's champions Liverpool, will make the effortless 0.9 miles stroll across Stanley Park, to face current noisy neighbours Everton, in the Merseyside derby this Saturday.

Home side Everton will be hoping to continue their blistering start to the season, taking 12 points from a possible 12 in their opening four games.

In their final game before the break, Everton put four past Brighton in a 4-2 thriller, with new boy James Rodriguez scoring a brace and newly capped England striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin scoring another - bringing his season total to 6 already.

Carlo Ancelotti will be in good spirit going into the game, with his new-look Everton side topping both the league and scoring charts this season so far, whilst only conceding five goals - drawn third-best in the league.

Liverpool come into this game off the back of a very different result.

Following a humiliating 7-2 loss at the hands of Aston Villa in their previous game, Klopp will be eager to get his title-winning squad back onto the right track. And what better way to do that than by beating local rivals Everton.

Klopp will know, however, that this won't be an easy feat.

Following the seven goals conceded against Villa and the three against newly-promoted Leeds in their opening game of the season, Liverpool will have to tighten up at the back if they are to stand any chance of getting a result.

If an inexperienced Ollie Watkins could score three against an out-of-form Adrian, then Klopp will be dreading what the league top scorer Calvert-lewin could do.

That said however, Klopp can find comfort in knowing that Everton have failed to win in their last 19 attempts against The Red's.

The last win for the Goodison Park outfit, was back in 2010, when they beat Liverpool 2-0, thanks to goals from Tim Cahill and Mikel Arteta.

That game took place on the 17th October, so could Everton record their first derby win 10 years to the day this Saturday?

MANCHESTER CITY VS ARSENAL - SAT 17TH - 17:30 PM (Live on SKY Sports)

If you're looking for goals, then this game will not disappoint, with 10 goals being scored in the last three games.

But this game isn't as much Man City verse Arsenal, but much more Pep verse Arteta.

Outshadowed by the 'student becomes the master' type scenario, this game no matter what the score will definitely be a game to watch.

The game pits two managers who know each other better than anyone and two managers who use very similar tactics, against each other.

However, so far this season only one manager seems to have got it right and it's not serial winner Pep Guardiola.

Arsenal's young Spanish manager, Mikel Arteta will be proud of his accomplishments so far this season, with Arsenal currently sitting fourth in the table.

With three wins from four, so far this campaign, Arteta's first full season in charge couldn't be going much better.

Man City, however, currently find themselves in a very different situation, with last year's runners-up currently 14th in the league.

With a feeble four points from three games, Pep's side have a lot of work to do, if they are to compete for the title this year.

So far, the Citizens have recorded just one win, in the form of a 3-1 victory over Wolves in their first game of the season.

Since then, they have conceded six goals in two games: a 5-2 loss to Leicester and a 1-1 draw against Leeds.

Many fans will blame the poor start down to injuries, with City legend Sergio Aguero having missed all their games so far and back-up striker Gabriel Jesus having missed both the last two games through a muscle injury.

Both of these players are ruled out of Saturday's clash with Arsenal, with Pep hoping the likes of Sterling, Foden and Mahrez will finally step up and fill the scoring void.

So will Pep teach Arteta another lesson, or will Arteta be the one schooling Pep this time round?

SHEFFIELD UNITED VS FULHAM - SUN 18TH - 12:00 PM (Live on BT Sport Box Office)

After this weekend, at least one of these two teams will finally have a point to their name.

Both Sheffield and Fulham have struggled so far this season, with a combined four goals between the two - 3 for the latter and one for the first.

Neither team are yet to record a single point in the league, with four losses from four for both.

This dreadful start means this fixture will be the best of the worst.

Despite Fulham scoring more, Sheffield currently sit in 19th place, one above the Cottagers who at present occupy 20th. This comes as a result of Fulham's inability to keep out goals, an issue the London-based club endured last time they were in the Premier League.

However, since their last games, both teams have strengthened their squads with new signings late on in the transfer window.

Sheffield United captured long term target Rhian Brewster for around £23m, hoping the youngster can add some much-needed goals to a squad starved of that lethal touch.

Whilst Fulham brought in Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Joachim Andersen on loan from Chelsea and Lyon respectively and Tosin Adarabioyo on a permanent deal from Man City.

So, will Brewster reignite last season's surprise package this weekend, or will Fulham's trio of signings swing the game in their favour?

LEICESTER CITY VS ASTON VILLA - SUN 18TH - 19:15 PM (Live on SKY Sports Box Office)

This game is a battle between second and third. Yes, Leicester and Aston Villa both occupy two of the top three spots so far this season.

2020 has been a strange year!

Jokes aside, these two teams have so far earned their league positions, with both teams already mentioned due to their demolishing of last year's top two.

Leicester thrashing Man City and Villa putting seven past Liverpool in a game that shook the sporting world.

So once again this weekend, we have another fixture guaranteed to bring goals.

Aston Villa, just like Sheffield United and Fulham, sit one place above Brandon Rodgers's side thanks to goal difference, a startling fact, seen as Villa have played one less game than the 2016 Premier League champions.

Villa, have hit the ground running this campaign, with three wins from three and 11 goals scored - albeit seven of those coming in just one game.

Dean Smith's team have been solid at the back and devastating upfront.

So far this season, they seem to be playing with the philosophy of attack first defend second, with the tactic so far proving successful against both bottom sides Sheffield and Fulham and title winners Liverpool.

Aston Villa's squad look's deadly, with Grealish, Barkley and Trezeguet across the midfield and Watkins upfront, the attacking threat within the team is obvious and now proven.

Along, with a sturdy defense with Mings at the back and McGinn pulling the strings from the middle of the park, Villa look set to have a strong season and should be a tough opponent for Leicester this Sunday.

Brendon Rodgers will be hoping his Leicester squad can refind the form that led to their victory over Pep Guardiola's Manchester side, after their disappointing loss to West Ham in their last game.

Despite sitting in third place, with three wins from four and scoring 12 goals so far this season, Leicester didn't manage a single shot on target against the Hammers.

With an overwhelming 70% of possession, the Foxes really should have won the game, but poor creativity and even worse shooting meant they fell miles short.

Leicester will have to improve this weekend if they wish to build on what was a good start to the season, as Villa will be going into the game full of confidence after their historic win last game.

Let's just hope Villa don't echo Leicester's performance following their win over City.
