PREM PREVIEW: THREE MUST WATCH GAMES THIS MATCHWEEK

Despite the international break, the Premier League returned in style last weekend, with a derby red card, Pep pipping Arteta and Lampard's Chelsea disappointing again.

And this matchweek looks just as exciting! With every team in action from Friday to Monday, you can bet your bottom dollar that goals will be flying in.

So here are our top three games for matchweek six of the Premier League:

ASTON VILLA VS LEEDS UNITED - FRI 23RD - 20:00 PM (Live on BT Sport Box Office)

Second-placed Aston Villa welcome 10th placed Leeds United to Villa park this Friday, with both teams currently occupying positions well above what anyone predicted.

After narrowly avoiding relegation on the final day of the season last year, Villa fans would have been hoping for an improvement this time around, but nobody could have predicted this.

Many claim a successful window means a successful season and unlike Chelsea, Dean Smith's men are proving that statement to ring true.

Following their last-minute win last time out, thanks to a stoppage-time cracker from new boy Ross Barkley, the Birmingham based club continued their 100% winning start to the new season.

Aston Villa will be heading into the game full of confidence, after beating two of last season's top five teams, in their previous two Premier League games.

But Leeds won't just roll over and let them take all three points this Friday, after also having an unprecedented successful start to their new life in England's top division.

Despite not having won in their past two games, Leeds still sit 10th in the league, above both Manchester-based clubs.

The blue side, having been one of their most recent games, with Leeds holding Pep Guardiola's City to a 1-1 draw, before losing to Wolves 1-0 at home earlier this week.

Despite the drop in form, Marcelo Bielsa's newly-promoted squad will be delighted with their start and rightly so, after putting in top-class performances every week against some of Europe's elite.

This Friday will be a test for both teams, with Villa looking to continue their surprising early-season title push and Leeds hoping to return to winning ways.

MAN UNITED VS CHELSEA - SAT 24TH - 17:30 PM (Live on SKY Sports)

For Sky Sports owners this is a must-watch game.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a good track record against Lampard, with United beating Chelsea in both of the games with the ex-England player in charge.

But with United currently seven places behind The Blues, in 15th place, the pressure is on Lampard to finally beat his Premier League rival.

The Red Devils have picked up form, however, winning their last two games in all competitions. A 4-1 smashing of Newcastle, thanks to a flurry of late goals last Saturday and a superb 2-1 win against French champions PSG on Tuesday night, should be of concern for an inconsistent new-look Chelsea side.

Lampard's team head into this game off the back of a disappointing result last time out in the Premier League.

After going two goals up against the Saints, goals from Danny Ings, Che Adams and Jannik Vestergaard, meant Kai Havertz first prem goal only secured Chelsea one point.

With three goals conceded against West Brom earlier in the season as well, the South West London club is currently among the worst for conceding goals so far this season, a similarity they share with Saturday rivals United.

So, as two of the so-called 'top six' come face to face this weekend, this is definitely a game of which defence will do the worst.

ARSENAL VS LEICESTER - SUN 25TH - 19:15 PM (Live on SKY Sports Box Office)

After several successful seasons in the Premier League, Leicester is definitly no longer a stop along the way in any teams footballing calendar. Instead, they are now one of the leagues biggest teams, constantly causing upsets, as proven from the 5-2 demolition of Man City already this year.

A team all too aware of this, is this weekends opponent Arsenal, after failing to beat The Foxes in the league since 2018.

Since then, Leicester have beat The Gunners twice and drawn once, only conceding one goal during these games. An impressive feat for a team that wasn't even in the league just seven years ago.

So far this season, both teams have recorded three wins and two losses, with Leicester one place above Arsenal due to goal difference.

Both teams come into this game hungry and desperate for a win, after both teams recorded a loss last time out.

Leicester lost at home to Aston Villa as already talked about ealier in this article and Arsenal lost 1-0 to Man City.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping his side can return to winning ways this weekend and get a long awaited win over the 2016 champions, whilst Brendon Rodgers will be hoping to prove his team didn't peak to soon, after losing every league game since the impressive win over City.
