REAL MADRID SIGN CAMAVINGA
Spanish giants Real Madrid have completed the signing of Eduardo Camavinga from French club Rennes.
The highly sought after 18-year-old has been pursued by many top European clubs, including Manchester United and PSG, but the Frenchman has chosen to play his football in Spain next season.
Madrid had their bid of 31m Euros plus add ons accepted by Rennes with the player having already completed his medical last night in France.
Camavinga will not remain at Rennes on loan for the season, as new Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti wants the midfielder at the club right away.
CHELSEA MAKE FINAL KOUNDE PUSH
European Champions Chelsea are ready to make one final attempt to secure the signing of Jules Kounde from Sevilla.
With Kurt Zouma now officially a West Ham player, Chelsea have the funds to explore a deal for Kounde, but negotiations have been difficult with the deal nearly completely breaking down several times yesterday.
The Blues have been in talks with Kounde's representatives and Sevilla for just over a month but no agreement has been reached.
Sevilla are in a strong position for the deal and are reportedly not swaying from their asking price, meanwhile Kounde has admitted he will not force a move away from Spain, therefore the deal rests on what Chelsea's final approach will be.
SPURS CLOSE IN ON EMERSON
Tottenham Hotspur are very close to making their fifth summer signing in Emerson Royal from Barcelona.
Having already signed Bryan Gil from La Liga, Spurs have gone back to Spain’s top flight in search of a right-back and have reached an agreement with Barcelona for Emerson.
The deal is expected to be announced today for a fee in the region of 30m Euros, with the Brazilian having already completed his medical.
Spurs will now have four right-backs at the club, with Fabio Paratici having struggled to move Serge Aurier out of the club.
CHRISTIE, EDOUARD & SANCHES ALL PREMIER LEAGUE BOUND?
Ryan Christie has seen interest from Burnley and Bournemouth regarding a potential final day deal.
The Celtic midfielder rejected a new contract from the club with his current one expiring in January, making him a free agent at the start of next year.
Bournemouth currently look the more likely team to sign Christie, with Burnley having acquired Maxwell Cornet just a few days ago, but never count anything out on deadline day.
Christie isn't the only player set to leave Celtic, as forward Odsonne Edouard is nearing a move to Crystal Palace.
Edouard will be in London today to complete his medical having agreed a fee just under 20m Euros with Celtic.
Another player who could be on his way to the Premier League is Renato Sanches, as Wolves want to secure him on a season long loan from Lille.
Sanches previously spent a season on-loan in England's top division with Swansea but struggled to adapt to the league.
However. since then Sanches helped Lille to become Ligue 1 champions and was a bright spark in Portugal's dismal Euro 2020 campaign.
The 24-year-old is currently side-lined with a minor knee injury but both clubs are optimistic that a loan deal can be agreed before the deadline.

TOTTENHAM PLOT BISSOUMA MOVE
Following Moussa Sissoko’s move to Watford, Spurs may be looking to bring in a new midfielder and they have possibly found their man in Brighton’s Yves Bissouma.
The Malian has impressed many with his performances for the Seagulls since arriving in 2018 and has been linked with a big move for over a year but nothing has come to fruition yet.
He was heavily linked with both Arsenal and Liverpool, but it could be Spurs that put their money where their mouth is and pay the desired £45m fee for the midfielder.
A player that can benefit any side, Tottenham’s great start to the season could get even better with this man’s arrival.
JAMES SET FOR UNITED DEPARTURE
Manchester United are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Welsh winger Dan James amid interest from several Premier League teams.
James has started two of the Red Devils league fixtures so far, but struggled against Wolves, being subbed off after 52 minutes.
With the arrivals of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, James may drop down the pecking order and that could be the reason for his departure.
Leeds United remain the most interested party, but Everton could emerge as favourites to sign the Welshman, with the price tag expected to be around £15m.
LIVERPOOL & LEEDS BATTLE IT OUT FOR DAMSGAARD
Both Liverpool and Leeds are considering a late move for Euro 2020 stand-out Mikkel Damsgaard, with reports stating that he is available for around £40m.
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero has maintained that they will only sell him for his valuation and that his club are not a ‘discount store’.
Reports in Italy are confident that at least one of these sides will make a move for the winger, but which one is unknown.
It will certainly be interesting to see if any Premier League club turns their interest into offers and bring the Dane to England.

HAALAND PSG PRIORITY
PSG are looking to lure Erling Haaland to Paris before the transfer window closes, as the French giants continue their search for a Kylian Mbappe replacement.
The French outfit are looking likely to lose their star man this summer, with Mbappe closing in on his dream move to Real Madrid.
Madrid have launched a second bid worth around £152M, after their first attempt was rejected.
Mbappe has asked the PSG hierarchy to allow him to leave this summer, with the board increasingly worried they could lose their star man for free in less than 12 months time.
With time running out to find a replacement, PSG are now turning to Mbappe's closest age bracket rival in Erling Haaland.
The 21-year-old Borussia Dortmund star has been linked with a move away from Germany all summer, but interest cooled after his release clause was discovered.
Reports suggest that Haaland could move in January for just £64M due to a clause in his contract, but PSG could tempt the German side into cashing in early with a mega deal set to be offered.
With the French side set to receive a mammoth fee for their 22-year-old talent, PSG are looking to use the cash to fund a late bid for the Norwegian striker.
Any potential deal however would have to include a considerable upfront fee, in order to tempt Borussia Dortmund into selling this late into the window.
SAUL CLOSE
Saul Niguez's proposed move to Chelsea has collapsed after a disagreement between the player and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder was closing in on a move to Stamford Bridge, before the duo failed to agree on the 26-year-olds standing within the team.
Saul was believed to have wanted reassurances over the game time he would receive at the London outfit, but Tuchel couldn't promise the Spain International the time he wanted.
Chelsea will now turn their attention towards Jules Kounde as the final piece of their summer jigsaw puzzle, but difficulties in another deal could ruin that as well.

ZOUMA TO WEST HAM IN DOUBT
Kurt Zouma's transfer to West Ham is on the brink of collapsing, after issues with the defenders medical.
Chelsea are relying on the departure of Zouma in order to fund their bid for Sevilla defender Jules Kounde.
However, the Hammers may now pull out of the deal for the Chelsea centre-back over problems with a knee injury.
The issue arose during the final stages of the players medical, which was held in Paris on Thursday.
West Ham are now looking into the injury further, but could pull the plug on the deal if the medical team say to do so.
This news will come as a huge blow to Chelsea, West Ham and Kounde.

KOUNDE TO CHELSEA RELIES ON WEST HAM'S MOVE FOR ZOUMA
Chelsea's attempt to sign Sevilla's Jules Kounde rests on whether or not they can sell Kurt Zouma, with West Ham his likely destination.
The European champions tried to sign Kounde earlier in the window, using Zouma as part of the deal, but no agreement was reached.
Since then the Blues have splashed the cash on bringing Romelu Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge, and if they wish to sign Kounde as well, it's likely that some more departures will need to happen.
If Zouma were to leave Chelsea he would join Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori as big money departures from SW6.
Chelsea and Kounde have already agreed their personal terms with the Frenchman set to have a contract run until 2026 but he will not force a move away from Sevilla.
Zouma, meanwhile, has been working with the Hammers on potential personal terms for a few days and if all is sorted between the two parties, it's likely Chelsea's move for Kounde would be given the go-ahead.
SPURS PREPARING TRAORE BID
Tottenham Hotspur's search for another attacker may be coming to an end as they look to sign Adama Traore from Wolves.
The Spanish winger terrorised the Spurs defence over the weekend in Wolves' clash with Spurs but again his end product was lacking as his side lost the game 1-0.
Traore joining Spurs would mean he reunites with old manager Nuno Espirito Santo who became the Spurs manager over the summer.
There is a talk of a potential loan with option to buy but Wolves are against that deal and would need an obligation to buy as opposed to just an option.
Traore has two years remaining on his current deal at Molinuex and is valued by his current club at £40m.
Spurs would likely need a few outgoings to raise funds for the move, with Serge Aurier, Moussa Sissoko and record signing Tanguy Ndombele all holding a desire to leave the club.
CHELSEA'S DECISION ON SAUL
Chelsea are also interested in bringing another midfielder to the club, with Saul Niguez from Atletico Madrid the main target.
Saul has expressed his desire to leave the La Liga champions this summer after falling slightly out of favour despite a strong end to the season.
Manchester United were in the race to bring Saul to Old Trafford, but that move is no longer on the table.
The European Champions aren't completely set on bringing a new midfielder to the club, with the higher-ups and Thomas Tuchel likely to make that decision this week.
After their dominant win over Arsenal at the weekend, it doesn't look like Chelsea need any more players, with their depth all over the pitch, arguably the best in the world.

MANCHESTER CITY TO MAKE FINAL KANE PUSH
Manchester City are ready to make one final push to sign Harry Kane this week as they look to end the long-standing transfer saga.
The Citizens are set to put in one final bid but it seems that Daniel Levy is determined to avoid selling his star man.
Kane made his first appearance for Spurs last weekend against Wolves, coming on to a great ovation from the away fans.
If City make one final offer in the £100m range, we could see the England captain in the Manchester City side.
RENNES READY TO SELL CAMAVINGA
With Eduardo Camavinga unlikely to sign a new contract at Rennes, the French club are now ok with letting him go this window.
It would be for a fee of £35m but the midfielder would be available on a free transfer from January onwards, although clubs may have to pay compensation.
Camavinga is seen as a huge star for the future so this news will come as a blessing for a lot of top clubs who have been previously priced out of a move.
It will be interesting to see how the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid, Liverpool and the rest of Europe's elite react to the news.
SARR SET FOR SPURS
Pape Matar Sarr has reportedly reached a verbal agremment with Spurs, as he moves closer to securing a £10m+ move to England.
However, nothing is set in stone between the two clubs and that will obviously need to be sorted before anything can actually happen.
If the transfer is to happen, Sarr will finish his season at FC Metz, heading back their on loan for the rest of the campaign.
With discussions set to take place at the start of this week, it is likely that Sarr will be a Spurs player before transfer deadline day.

RICE UNHAPPY WITH WEST HAM VALUATION
Declan Rice is unhappy with West Ham, as he believes that the £100m valuation of himself is too much and has priced him out of a move to a bigger side.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United have been interested in the midfielder for a long time now, but have possibly been put off by the price tag.
While West Ham are in a position where they don't need to sell, if Rice is genuinely unhappy at the club then they may be forced to move the price to an affordable range.
Rice currently has no intentions of signing a new deal but with his contract expiring in 2024, a club will have to fork out the right money for the Englishman's signature.
BRUCE REQUESTS RODRIGUEZ TALKS
Newcastle United are set to hold talks with Everton in regards to the potential signing of James Rodriguez upon Steve Bruce's request.
The attacking midfielder has appeared to be froze out by new manager Rafa Benitez and is looking for a move elsewhere and Newcastle may be his destination.
Rodriguez is seemingly also wanting the move as he has been shown to be completely unaware of who his team was playing this past weekend on his Twitch stream.
It would be a huge coup for Newcastle and something that could potentially kickstart their frustrating transfer window and start of the season.
SOUTHAMPTON WANT CUT-PRICE CHRISTIE
Southampton have shown interest in Celtic star Ryan Christie and are looking to secure his signature before his contract expires next summer.
The Saints believe that he will be available for cheaper than previous years but are also willing to wait for the midfielder to come available on a free transfer.
It is reported that if Stuart Armstrong leaves St Mary's then Southampton will want to secure Christie this summer.
They are not the only side that wants the Scotsman, as both Burnley and Sheffield United are keeping tabs on Christie.

MBAPPE AND HAALAND TO UNITED
Manchester United are aiming to sign both Mbappe and Haaland next summer in a window of attacking overload.
The PSG star has been linked with a move away from Le Parc des Princes all summer and the new addition of Messi to Pochettino's side has only added to the rumours.
Real Madrid and Liverpool remain favourites to sign the French star, but according to ESPN, Manchester United have now joined the race.
He now sits on a growing shortlist alongside Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, who has a £68M release clause.
The release clause was announced to become active next summer, but new reports suggest it could be triggered as early as September 1st 20201. Just days away.
LAPORTE SET FOR CITY EXIT
Aymeric Laporte looks set to get his move away from the Etihad Stadium, after a £60M price tag was agreed.
The 27-year-old defender and Manchester City came to an agreement before the summer transfer window began, according to Sportsmail.
Juventus and Real Madrid are said to be tracking the Spanish International who has found his first team football limited in recent months due to the rise of John Stones.
CHELSEA WANT MORE
A midfielder and defender are top of Chelsea's summer wish-list, as deadline day looms.
Atletico Madrid and Spain central midfielder Saul Niguez, 26, is top of Thomas Tuchel's list of midfield targets.
Manchester United are also said to be tracking the La Liga star, who's current club are trying to sort out the players future.
In defence, Kounde tops the list of potential CB signings this summer, as Tuchel looks to add to his Champions League winning side.
However, Chelsea are looking to offload players before any further deal's will be completed due to the finances involved in the Romelu Lukaku transfer.

VLAHOVIC, MILENKOVIC & NANDEZ ALL ON SPURS' WATCHLIST
Tottenham Hotspur have shown worthy interest in three top players from Serie A, Dusan Vlahovic, Nikola Milenkovic and Nahitan Nandez.
Having already done two thirds of their business in Italian football's top division this window, it seems Spurs and Fabio Paratici are turning back to Italy to enquire about more players.
Vlahovic and Milinkovic ply their trade at Fiorentina as a striker and centre-back respectively whole Nandez plays in the 10 role for Cagliari.
Spurs showed interest in Vlahovic a few weeks ago with the aim of playing him alongside Harry Kane, and while it at first seemed as though the sudden interest in Milenkovic was a negotiation ploy to help with the signing of Cristian Romero from Atalanta, Spurs are intrigued by the 15m Euro price tag on the Serb especially after his proposed move to West Ham broke down.
The deal for Nandez is the most intriguing however, with Spurs making it clear they're priorities were defensive recruitments and to sign another striker, but would make exceptions for attacking midfield players if a good opportunity presented itself.
Cleary, by the enquiry made to Cagliari for Nandez, Spurs see something special in the 25-year-old and he could be available before the end of the window for around £25m.
It's unlikely that Spurs will buy all three as they will need to sell a significant amount of players first but it's very possible that one of these three could be making the switch from Italy to North London.
JUVENTUS CLOSE IN ON LOCATELLI
Sassuolo's Manuel Locatelli is one step closer to joining Juventus, as the Old Lady prepare their final bid for the Italian midfielder.
Juventus are expected to bid in the region of 35m Euros after several weeks of negotiations between the two clubs.
Arsenal's interest in Locatelli was real, however the player, who caught the eye of many at Euro 2020, wanted Champions League football and was therefore only interested in Juventus.
The payment structure of the deal is not yet finalised but it is understood personal terms have been agreed, with Locatelli set to sign a 5-year contract and earn a net salary of 3m Euros per season.
The final block in the way of prohibiting this deal from going through is whether or not the two clubs go for a loan with option/obligation to buy or a permanent deal this summer.
If that decision can be agreed suitably and promptly, Locatelli will likely be a confirmed Juve player by the end of the week.
EVERTON AND INTER BOTH WANT CORREA
Lazio's Joaquin Correa is expected to leave the club this summer, with both Inter and Everton chasing his signature.
Simone Inzaghi, who is now the Inter Milan manager, worked with Correa for several seasons and is now interested in bringing him into his new venture with the current Scudetto holders.
Correa, 27, reportedly told Lazio he wanted to leave earlier in the window prompting interest from several Premier League clubs as well as Serie A outfits.
However, now the dust has settled, Inter and Everton seem to be the two clubs most interested in signing the forward.
The former were quoted 37m Euros plus add-ons for the player and while negotiations have slowed down slightly as Inter weigh up their options, Everton have swooped in and plan to make a suitable offer for the Argentine.
With Correa wanting to leave and Lazio needing to sell, it should just be a matter of time until Correa is at a new club, but it's yet to be decided whether that will with his old manager at Inter or with Rafa Benitez in the Premier League

MBAPPE DEMANDS REAL MADRID MOVE
Lionel Messi's arrival at PSG has already caused drama, with Kylian Mbappe demanding a move away from the French club almost straight away.
A move to Real Madrid has been in the offing for years, but a promise to be the centre of a football project seems make this the right time for the Frenchman.
With one year left on his deal, PSG know that they have to sell this window if they want to make some money and Mbappe is set to meet with the owners and make his intentions clear.
After losing Messi, the forward's arrival is not just a big deal for Real Madrid but the league as a whole as they gain a new superstar.
CHELSEA, MAN CITY AND MAN UTD ALL IN WONDERKID RACE
Multiple Premier League clubs are lining up a move for FC Metz wonderkid Pape Matar Sarr, with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all taking a look.
The midfielder burst onto the scene last season, making 22 appearances for the French side and impressing many with his all-action displays.
At just 18 years old, Sarr has a very high ceiling and possess all the qualities to make an impact in the Premier League.
Having signed a five-year deal last summer, the Senegalese midfielder might not come cheap but his potential may make any deal worth it.
CORNET SET FOR BURNLEY
Burnley are set to secure the signature of versatile wide-man Maxwel Cornet for £12m from Lyon, after outbidding Hertha Berlin for the Ivorian.
Cornet has spent the majority of his career at Lyon, racking up 251 appearances for the French side and scoring 51 times in all competitions.
Sean Dyche has made it clear that he wants to add pace to his team, and that is a quality that the winger possesses.
Despite getting sent off on the weekend, Lyon value Cornet slightly higher at £15m, so Burnley may need to up their bid slightly to make sure they get their man.

MANCHESTER CITY BACK IN FOR KANE
Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are expected to go back in for Spurs striker Harry Kane with a bid of £127m plus add-ons.
The Premier League champions were heavily interested in Kane earlier in the window but opted for the simpler deal of signing Jack Grealish for £100m from Aston Villa.
However, it seems City have not given up on signing the England captain that easily with a bid expected to arrive with Spurs in the next few days.
Kane, 28, has already caused quite the stir at his current club after admitting he wanted a new challenge elsewhere and then also not returning to training when he was scheduled to do so on August 2.
Instead the England captain travelled to Florida for a further holiday after his trip to the Bahamas, meaning he had to isolate upon returning and will likely miss Spurs' opening Premier League fixture against Manchester City.
Daniel Levy and Spurs remain adamant that their star man will not be sold for anything less than £150m, but after all the difficulty the situation has caused, it may be easier to just allow Kane to leave the club.
RODGERS SIGNS FOFANA REPLACEMENT
Leicester City are set to announce the signing of Southampton centre-back Jannik Vestergaard for a reported £15m.
Following Wesley Fofana fracturing his fibula during a friendly against Villareal and the injury problems facing Jonny Evans, Leicester were forced to enter the market for a new central defender and have found one in the form of Vestergaard.
Brendan Rodgers also looked at Ozin Kabak who impressed on loan at Liverpool last season but chose to go with the more experienced Vestergaard.
The Danish international, who joined Saints from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2018, had one year left on his contract before Leicester swooped in.
Caglar Soyuncu is the only fit recognised central defender at the club, although Daniel Amartey has gradually become a reliable centre back option for Rodgers.
It is likely that Vestergaard could go straight into the starting XI and possibly be playing alongside his old Southampton teammate Ryan Bertrand who joined Leicester earlier in the window.
ODERGAARD THE TOP PRIORITY FOR ARSENAL
Arsenal are awaiting Real Madrid's decision on the future of Martin Odergaard before making a bid for the attacking midfielder.
Odergaard spent the second half of last season on loan at the Emirates obtaining four goal contributions in 20 games.
Real Madrid are yet to give Odergaard a shirt number and he has also not been registered for their La Liga opener, however some reports in Spain claim this is because Raphael Varane, despite signing for Manchester United, is still registered but once that is sorted Odergaard will replace him in the squad.
The Gunners had also been interested in signing Leicester's James Maddison but were told very clearly that a starting bid of £60m would only bring Leicester to the bidding table and that it could rise closer to £70/75m.

ROMA CLOSE IN ON TAMMY ABRAHAM
Tammy Abraham is finally able to get his move away from Chelsea as Roma are closing in on a loan-to-buy for the striker.
The Italian club will have to pay £34m for Abraham after the loan period is over but with Romelu Lukaku joining the Blues, there is little room for the Englishman to make an impact.
While Abraham hasn't agreed to the move, it is clear that he won't be in Chelsea colours this season.
With Lukuku and Jules Kounde possibly coming in, Chelsea are looking to offload some squad players to earn that money back.
LEICESTER SET FOR CENTRE-BACK SWOOP
After Wesley Fofana picked up an awful injury in pre-season, Leicester have entered the market for a centre-back to replace the young Frenchman.
The first defender linked is FC Schalke's Ozan Kabak who spent last year at Liverpool.
Leicester are said to have offered €8m for the centre-back, who impressed many at Anfield last season.
The other defender linked is West Ham's Issa Diop, who has amassed interest from a number of clubs including the Foxes.
There have been murmurs that Brendan Rodgers' side have been looking at Stefan de Vrij, and it will be interesting to see how that goes.
EVERTON WANT RONDON AND LONGSTAFF
Rafa Benitez will look to add to his existing signings as it is believed that Everton want to bring in both Salomon Rondon and Sean Longstaff.
The former is set for a move back to England as his contract with Dalian Pro could be axed due to financial worries and multiple English clubs are ready to offer the striker a contract.
Longstaff could be set for a move away from Newcastle due to the arrival of Joe Willock and Everton could be the destination for him.
Benitez has experience of working with both and therefore it does make sense that the Spaniard would want to bring both in as squad players.

SPURS & ARSENAL WANT VLAHOVIC
North London rivals Spurs and Arsenal are both interested in signing Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic who is valued at £50m.
The 21-year-old scored 21 goals in Seria A last season, including a superb first half hat-trick against Benevento in March, thus attracting a lot of interest from many top European clubs.
New Tottenham director of football Fabio Paratici is said to be a big fan of the Serbian International and would like to play him up front alongside Harry Kane.
While Mikkel Arteta's Arsenal are looking for a world class striker to likely replace Alexandre Lacazette who's future at the Emirates is unclear.
Both Spurs and Arsenal have also been interested in Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez, but with his strike partner Romelu Lukaku returning to the Premier League with Chelsea, Inter, despite their financial turmoil, are now set on not selling Martinez.
WILLOCK CLOSE TO NEWCASTLE MOVE
Newcastle have had a bid in excess of £20m accepted by Arsenal for English midfielder Joe Willock, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the Magpies.
After scoring eight goals in 14 games during his loan spell in Tyneside, Newcastle made Willock a priority signing.
Initially the deal didn't look on the cards with Willock's parent club Arsenal unsure about what to do with the player, but after Mikkel Arteta assessed his options during pre-season, it was decided that Willock was no longer needed at the Emirates.
Willock looks set to become Steve Bruces' first summer signing and the 21-year-old will aim to continue where he left off in Newcastle colours.
DZEKO SET TO REPLACE LUKAKU
Inter Milan are close to signing Edin Dzeko from fellow Seria A side AS Roma as a direct replacement for the departing Romelu Lukaku.
The former Manchester City striker is set to sign a contract with the Scudetto winners until 2023, following Lukaku's 115m Euro move to Chelsea.
New Roma manager Jose Mourinho is already on the lookout for his Dzeko replacement and has been interested by PSG striker Mauro Icardi, who many be open to a move away especially with the imminent arrival of Lionel Messi in Paris.
Inter are also interested in signing Atalanta's Duvan Zapata, having made it clear they want to sign two strikers to replace Lukaku and if this second deal does go through it opens the door for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham to join Atalanta.

SPURS AGREE LAUTARO MARTINEZ FEE
Tottenham have had a £60m bid accepted for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez as they look to strengthen their attacking line-up.
It is believed that the striker is being brought in to play alongside Harry Kane as new manager Nuno Espirito Santo wants to play two up top.
This represents a real marquee signing from Spurs as Martinez is viewed as one of the best strikers in Europe and at 23, he has a huge future ahead.
Despite their promise to Simone Inzaghi, Inter Milan's financial situation means that they still need to sell players, with Lukaku also on his way out.
ARSENAL SWOOP IN FOR TRIPPIER
After failing to secure a move to Manchester United, it looks like Kieran Trippier may still be heading back to England, this time with Arsenal.
It is looking like Hector Bellerin will depart the Gunners this season and if he does then Arteta's number one target is the former Spurs man.
The fee would still be £34m, the same that put United off making any move but Arsenal would be willing to meet the price tag.
While Diego Simeone wants to keep the Englishman, Financial Fair Play issues mean that Atletico may need to sell players.
BRIGHTON SHOW NKETIAH INTEREST
Brighton are still after a striker, and this time they are targeting Eddie Nketiah of Arsenal, for a fee of £20m.
Nketiah is up for sale at Arsenal as the Englishman has struggled to break into the team after a successful spell at Leeds a few years back.
The 22-year-old played 17 times for Arsenal last year, scoring twice, but has shown that he is capable of finding the back of the net in years gone by.
Crystal Palace are also interested but they do not want to pay the £20m fee and are unwilling to get into a bidding war with Brighton.

CHELSEA CLOSE TO SIGNING LUKAKU
European Champions Chelsea are on the verge of signing Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku for over 110m Euros.
The Blues turned their attention to their former striker after they were priced out of a move for Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland.
Inter, Lukaku's current club, have already lost Achraf Hakimi to PSG due to their poor financial situation and it's looking more and more likely that Lukaku will also be sacrificed to completely balance the books.
This expensive deal would also likely start a pendulum swing of strikers moving clubs, with Atalanta's Duvan Zapata the likely replacement if Lukaku leaves Inter while Tammy Abraham is the number one option for Atalanta.
Lukaku, 28, is reportedly interested in a move back to Stamford Bridge, where he spent six years of his career although that mostly included loan spells.
Chelsea and Lukaku have all but agreed on personal terms which would see the Belgian earn around £400k per week and it is now up to the two clubs to agree on a suitable fee.
GREALISH ARRIVAL COULD SIGNAL SILVA DEPARTURE
Bernardo Silva could be leaving Manchester City for Spain following the imminent arrival of Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
With Grealish all but confirmed as a Manchester City player, Bernardo Silva may struggle for significant game time and look for a move elsewhere.
Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in signing the Portuguese midfielder, who has spent the last four seasons at City after joining in the summer of 2017.
Due to their monetary problems, Barcelona as the destination for Silva is unlikely. However, Atletico are willing to make a bid for the 26-year-old who has admitted he's very attracted by the La Liga.
Silva still has four years remaining on his current City contract and therefore would require Atletico to pay a hefty transfer fee.
But City could allow him to go for a slightly reduced price as they look to raise funds wherever they can to possibly make a move for Harry Kane before the end of the transfer window.
SPURS EYE PLAYMAKER
Tottenham Hotspur are now reportedly in the market for a new attacking midfielder after securing the services of Atalanta defender Cristian Romero.
With the Romero deal set to be announced this week, Spurs are now focusing their efforts on acquiring a creative midfielder ahead of the new season.
Several reports suggest that Euro 2020 star Mikkel Damsgaard is among their targets along with PSV's Noni Madueke.
Damsgaard, who was part of the inspirational Denmark team who reached the semi-finals of Euro 2020, is valued by his current club Sampdoria at 40m Euros while Madueke could be available for half the price at around 20m Euros.
Although Romero is a fantastic signing for Spurs, it cost the club near to 55m Euros and therefore a move for an attacking midfielder will require Spurs to sell some players first.
Davinson Sanchez, Serge Aurier, Lucas Moura, Eric Dier and Harry Winks have all been told they can leave the club this summer if the right offer comes in.
However, not much interest has stemmed for these players meaning a deal to sign either Damsgaard or Madueke could be difficult this transfer window.

ARSENAL OFFER PLAYER IN MADDISON DEAL
Arsenal have made it clear that James Maddison is their number one target, but a reluctance to meet the £60m asking price has them looking at alternative ways to bring him in.
One option is to offer a player to Leicester, to pad out the rest of the fee but who will they offer?
Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah are players that are all up for transfer, although it is not known who Arsenal will use in the deal.
While all four are talented players, it is hard to see Leicester wanting any of those players ahead of Maddison, so negotiations may continue to drag on.
LAPORTE DEMANDS LA LIGA MOVE
Aymeric Laporte has made his future clear as he has told Manchester City that he wants a move back to La Liga this summer.
The centre-back lost his place in the City team last season due to the form of John Stones and Ruben Dias, and with Real Madrid and Barcelona interested, his future seems to be in Spain.
Both Spanish clubs have asked the Citizens to be informed of his situation, but money is very tight for the two clubs.
Money might be the factor that doesn't allow Laporte to get the move he desires but it does a appear the Spaniard woll soon be back in his new homeland.
LIVERPOOL A PART OF THE DANJUMA RACE
Liverpool have joined the long queue in the hunt for Bournemouth standout Arnaut Danjuma, alongside several Premier League and top European clubs.
Villareal are the team said to be in the lead, but they remain reluctant to pay the £25m price tag the Championship club have set.
With an eye on getting promoted, Scott Parker is not willing to change his stance but the fee is certainly reachable for a lot of Premier League teams.
As Liverpool are looking to earn £20m from selling Divock Origi, Jurgen Klopp's side may have the finances to secure the Dutchman.

THE BIG UNITED EXODUS
After completing the signings of Tom Heaton, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking to sell players, to help refill the bank and fund further deals.
A total of 10 players have reportedly been put up for sale, with names such as Jessie Lingard, Anthony Martial and Phil Jones making the list.
Manchester United hope to raise around £100M in a bid to fund Solskjaer's transfer plans.
The United boss is still in the market for a right-back and central midfielder, with Kieran Trippier and Saul Niguez reportedly top of his target list.
Other names on the list of players up for sale at Old Trafford are: Andreas Pereira, Daniel James, Axel Tuanzebe and Diogo Dalot.
With less than two weeks until the new season begins, United will be hoping to offload players quickly to ensure they don't miss out on future signings.
CHELSEA BID FOR LUKAKU
Chelsea are continuing their summer hunt for a world-class striker, following a failed bid of £85M for Inter Milan and former Chelsea player Romelu Lukaku.
The London club have set their sights on signing a new goalscorer this summer, but have so far failed in their attempts to capture number one target Erling Haaland.
Now it seems they will have to turn their attention to their third choice target, after Inter Milan have refused to sell Lukaku in a deal worth around £100M.
Chelsea offered the Italian side £85M plus long term target Marcos Alonso, but have been told he is "untouchable" according to sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio.
LIVERPOOL EYE MIDFIELDER
Jurgen Klopp has identified Real Betis defensive midfielder Guido Rodriguez as the perfect Georginio Wijnaldum replacement.
Wijnaldum left Liverpool this summer after five years at the club, leaving Klopp with a mammoth task of replacing the much loved dutch midfielder.
However, it now seems that he has found the ideal player to do just that, after identifying Argentina and Real Betis' 27-year-old Rodriguez.
The player has made 49 appearances for the La Liga outfit since his €3M move in 2020, scoring just twice.
But despite his cheap fee just last year, the player could now cost Liverpool 10 times what the Spanish club paid, with a valuation of around €30M being touted.

BOTH KANE AND GREALISH TO CITY NOT POSSIBLE
Manchester City will end their pursuit of Tottenham striker Harry Kane if they are able to sign his England teammate Jack Grealish from Aston Villa.
In the past few days City have submitted an official bid of £100m for Grealish and negotiations are now underway to reach an agreement.
Earlier in the transfer window, City felt they had a good chance of signing both Kane and Grealish but now the English champions have set their sights on the latter.
Meanwhile for Kane, who has not reported for first team training this morning, is still trying to push for a move away but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has said his star striker is not for sale.
Pep Guardiola must be quick with this deal as a new contract is on the table for Grealish at Villa Park if the deal is not completed this week.
Villa have already signed Emi Buendia in this window and recently acquired Leon Bailey from Bayer Leverkusen, possibly suggesting they are building for life without Grealish.
LEEDS AND SPURS AFTER TRAORE
Wolves winger Adama Traore has attracted the attention of two other Premier League in Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United regarding a possible transfer.
The Spanish international, who went to Euro 2020 but played no minutes, has been with Wolves since 2018 earning 28 goal contributions in 131 games.
The interest from Tottenham could stem from the fact that his former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo is now the manager of Spurs, while Leeds have become interested after new contract talks with Wolves stalled.
Traore is valued at around £30m but it's unlikely a bid near that region would be accepted by Wolves as his impact would be hard to replace.
WEST HAM STRUGGLE FOR ZOUMA DEAL
West Ham United remain in talks with Chelsea for defender Kurt Zouma but with the deal seeming difficult to complete, Fiorentina's Nikola Milenkovic has emerged as a more realistic option.
The French centre back is thought to be very interested in a move to the London Stadium, but the difficulty lies within the valuation regarding the fee and Zouma's wages.
Therefore, Fiorentina defender Milenkovic is seen to be a much cheaper alternative valued at around £15m due to only having one year left on his current contract.
Milenkovic, 23, has been linked with Spurs in this window but that deal is considered a back-up if they can't sign Cristian Romero.
Chelsea are continuing to push to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla whether Zouma is involved in that deal or not and it could potentially see him become Chelsea's 5th choice centre-back.

VILLA EYE GREALISH REPLACEMENT
With Aston Villa ready to accept Manchester City's £100m bid for star man Jack Grealish, the attention will turn to who will have the task of filling his boots.
That man is Todd Cantwell, who has been linked with a move away from his current club Norwich City for a number of years now.
Cantwell enjoyed a good season in the Championship, helping the Canaries reach the Premier League at the first time of asking, and was a shining light in a miserable 19/20 season for Norwich.
While he's obviously not Grealish, Cantwell is someone with a high ceiling and a lot of ability and if Dean Smith can get the best out of him, Villa have a player on their hands.
PALACE SET FOR NELSON LOAN
Patrick Viera has identified Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson as his number one target for the wide positions.
Nelson is available for loan, having struggled for minutes at Arsenal last season.
The Eagles have also considered bringing in Ademola Lookman from RB Leipzig, but the price may put Viera and co off.
Palace are currently undergoing a rebuild, and Nelson could be the next step for that.
STONES CONTRACT TALKS PROGRESS AS STERLING STALLS
As Manchester City look to strengthen their ranks with both Jack Grealish and Harry Kane, contract talks are ongoing with two of England's other standouts from Euro 2020.
On one hand, negotiations with centre-back John Stones have progressed as he is close to signing a new £175k a week deal.
After a tough few years, Stones has re-emerged as one of the best defendders in the Premier League after a strong 20/21 season.
On the other hand, talks with Raheem Sterling have stalled, and despite having two years left on his deal, the club planned to extend his deal this summer.
Sterling has had an exceptional summer, being England's main man for much of Euro 2020, and the Citizens want to keep the winger through his peak years.

POGBA SET TO STAY
Manchester United are now confident that Paul Pogba will not leave the club this summer, but risk losing the player for free in 12 months.
Paul Pogba is believed to be excited by the long-term plan United are looking to build, with the new signings of Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.
Sky Sports have reported that the midfielder 'loves the club' and is 'excited' by the direction the club are going in, but is not ready to decide his future.
It is believed that the player will wait until January to decide where his future lies, basing his decisions on Manchester United's early season form.
Interest is thought to be high in the French international, with PSG leading the race if the player was to leave Old Trafford.
SPURS ANNOYED WITH ROMERO DEAL
Tottenham are growing more and more angry with Atalanta over the dealings of defender Cristian Romero.
A deal for the Argentinean defender seemed guaranteed after rapid progress was made earlier this week, but talks have since stalled.
Spurs have offered around €50M for the player, but Atalanta have still not accepted the Premier League outfits bid.
The London based club are now growing increasingly worried that they are being used in a bidding war, as Barcelona are reportedly lining up a bid for the clubs star player.
The Spanish club have not yet made any official bid, but an offer is expected to be made soon.
UNITED END INTEREST IN CAMAVINGA
Manchester United have ended their interest in Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga, after the player made it clear he would prefer a move to Real Madrid or Barcelona.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was reportedly a huge fan of the young midfielder, but will not sign players more interested in other clubs.
The move comes as the club continue with their cultural reset, as they only eye players dedicated to the badge.
VILLA BID FOR GREALISH REPLACMENT
Aston Villa are already planning their replacement signings, if Jack Grealish leaves in a £100M transfer to Manchester City.
The fresh move from Man City has seen Villa make a fresh bid for Southampton star man James Ward-Prowse.
However, reports suggest that Southampton have rejected the clubs most recent £25M offer.
The 26-year-old has been a long-term target for Villa all summer, as Dean Smith believes the player to be the perfect Grealish replacement.
Just one year older than 25-year-old Grealish, Ward-Prowse has similar leadership qualities that the club would lose if the £100M deal went through. He can also play in the attacking midfield role that Grealish would sometimes occupy.
Looking further up the pitch, and Dean Smith could push Ollie Watkins out wide to make space for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.
The London outfit are looking to offload the English International and are willing to lower their £40M asking price.
Aston Villa are rumoured to be interested in the out-of-favour striker and believe Watkins could fill the inside forward role Grealish occupied last season.

VILLA TO OFFER GREALISH NEW DEAL
The Jack Grealish saga is set to take another twist as Aston Villa are willing to restart talks over a new contract to halt any interest from Manchester City.
City have already begun negotiations in terms of signing the playmaker and are expected to make a decision on whether to pursue the deal or not in the next few days.
The asking price is believed to be at least £100m and while Manchester City can afford it, Villa do not need to sell as they are one of the richest teams in the Premier League.
Aston Villa believe that they can build the team around Grealish but the allure of playing for Manchester City won't be going away any time soon.
WEST HAM IN £20m ZOUMA SWOOP
West Ham are set to bid £20m for the services of Kurt Zouma as his Chelsea future looks bleak.
The Blues had wanted to use the Frenchman as a makeweight in the Jules Kounde which would see Zouma head to Sevilla.
It is believed that the defender would rather move across London but it is also alleged that West Ham's bid will be rejected as it's below the valuation.
Zouma has made 150 appearances for Chelsea, but since Thomas Tuchel's arrival he has struggled for appearances and a move to West Ham could kickstart the prime of his career.
NEWCASTLE LEAD TUANZEBE RACE
Newcastle United have overtaken Aston Villa in the race to sign Axel Tuanzebe as Manchester United look to loan out the defender.
It is believed that Dean Smith wanted the 23-year-old to provide cover to his centre-backs, and that has led to Newcastle going ahead as they can offer a starting role.
With Manchester United signing Rapheal Varane, Tuanzebe has moved down the pecking order and is left needing a loan move.
At 23, this could be a make or break season for the centre-back as he looks to build a future at Manchester United.

Kounde set to join Chelsea
European Champion Chelsea have opened negotiations with Sevilla defender Jules Kounde after his move to Spurs fell short once he discovered the latter were not in the Champions League.
Thomas Tuchel's Blues went completely under the radar regarding their move for Kounde but now consider him their main target at centre-back.
Kounde has already agreed personal terms with Chelsea with his contract running until 2026, and it is now up to the two clubs to agree the payment.
As opposed to a full fee, it looks increasingly likely that Kurt Zouma would be used in the deal to bring Kounde to Stamford Bridge but talks are still ongoing regarding that deal.
Sevilla and Spurs were close to agreeing a potential swap deal for Kounde with Davinson Sanchez + a substantial fee going the other way.
However, due to Spurs not qualifying for this season's Champions League Kounde was not interested in joining them.
There was brief talks about Real Madrid making a move for Kounde but they never materialised, while Manchester United focussed their efforts on signing Raphael Varane.
Spurs after Milenkovic & Romero
Tottenham Hotspur are looking to make a double swoop for Serie A centre-backs Cristian Romero and Nikola Milenkovic in attempt to bolster their defensive options ahead of the new season.
Following the departure of long-serving centre-back Toby Alderweireld, Spurs are in desperate need of reinforcements at the back and they look to have found some in Italy's top flight.
Romero is the main target, however Spurs are slightly off the price tag set by his club Atalanta which is 55m Euros.
However, Romero having already agreed personal terms and being very excited about playing in the Premier League, means he could push for a move away.
As for Milenkovic, the deal to sign him from Fiorentina on the surface seems very straightforward as he only has one year left on his contract, he's available for 15m Euros.
Tottenham will be hoping to land their priority signing in Romero but have a plan B which would be to sign three centre-backs which would include the aforementioned Milenkovic, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kurt Zouma.
But with Zouma potentially joining Sevilla, plan B could be a difficult one, however it is possible that Spurs sign both Romero and Milenkovic.
Arsenal interested in Martinez
Mikkel Arteta's Arsenal are set to launch an ambitious move for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
The Gunners have been on the look out for a striker all summer, most recently enquiring about Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham, but are now interested in bringing Martinez to the Emirates.
While this seems very unlikely, with Martinez having just won the Scudetto with Inter and having a large price tag, Arsenal have a player in their ranks who could make the deal possible.
Hector Bellerin is wanted by Inter following Achraf Hakimi leaving to join PSG and it's very possible a player plus cash deal could tempt Inter to allowing Martinez to leave.
Inter have made no secret of their financial troubles and a significant fee for Martinez could go some way to solving that, however the higher-ups at the club have ensured new manager Simone Inzaghi that he will not lose any more of his star players ahead of the new season.

UNITED BACK IN FOR KOUNDE
Manchester United’s centre-back spending spree is not set to end with Raphael Varane, as they look to reignite their early window interest in Jules Kounde.
Kounde has been linked with a various number of clubs including Tottenham and Real Madrid but it seems that United have concrete interest in the Frenchman.
It seems as if Kounde will not be at Sevilla come the end of the transfer window, but whether he will remain in Spain or come to England is unknown.
With Varane’s United move edging closer, this is proving to be a great window for the Red Devils, as they look to secure their first league title post-SAF.
NEWCASTLE TURN ATTENTION TO BARKLEY
With Joe Willock set to remain at Arsenal, Steve Bruce and co have turned to Ross Barkley to fill the attacking midfield player void.
Barkley is coming off a poor season with Aston Villa, in what many thought was a make-or-break season for the Englishman.
However, it appears Newcastle would be willing to give Barkley a chance although they have not given up hope with Willock, as it is believed the player wants the move.
The midfield remains a must-strengthen area for Newcastle, and everybody knows there is a player in Ross Barkley, but can Steve Bruce find it?
PALACE AND BRIGHTON BATTLE FOR EDOUARD
After a move to Leicester fell through, Odsonne Edouard may still be heading to the Premier League as Brighton plan to launch a £20m bid for the striker.
However, they won’t be alone as Crystal Palace have also shown interest in the Frenchman as they continue their summer rebuild.
It was well known what Brighton’s problem last season was, as they failed to convert chances on many occasions, so a new striker would be welcomed.
Celtic would be willing to sell, as new manager Ange Postecoglou has stated he would be open to selling unsettled players.
