Key Match: Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich

Saturday 7th November, kick off 17:30

The Biggest match in Europe over the weekend is undoubtedly Der Klassiker, with Dortmund second and Bayern first in the league the game has huge implications for the title.

Both teams have had fantastic starts to the season and sit on 15 points each, with Bayern ahead on goal difference alone.

Lucien Favre’s side have continued their great scoring form from last season, with Erling Haaland getting 5 goals and 2 assists in 5 Bundesliga games this season.

The factor that has turned Dortmund into title challengers though is how their defence has drastically improved this season. They have gone from being a shamble at the back last year to only conceding 2 goals in the league so far this season.

Any defence would struggle against Robert Lewandowski in his current form though, the striker is arguably the best player in the world right now, getting 10 goals and 3 assists in just 5 Bundesliga games this year.

The game is sure to be thrilling, keep an eye out for 17-year-old Jude Bellingham as well, as the young Englishman could make his derby debut.

Other Notable Fixtures:

RB Leipzig v Freiburg, Saturday 7th November, kick off 14:30

Bayer Leverkusen v Borussia Monchengladbach, Sunday 8th November, kick off 17:00

Serie A

Key Match: Atalanta v Inter Milan,

Sunday 8th November, kick off 14:00

This weekend sees the two worst defensive sides in Italy’s top six go head to head.

Inter Milan have had an indifferent start to the season, having only got four points form their last three games, and currently sit in 6th.

Conte’s side have at times played great football, with Romelu Lukaku getting 5 goal in 5 games, though the Belgian may not be fit for the match, and the team has struggled without him.

Atalanta on the other hand have continued to exceed expectations and sit in 4th place. They are able to fight with the big sides in Serie A due to Gian Piero Gasperini’s revolutionary tactics, which get the absolute best out of his players by playing in a 3-4-1-2 with rotational positions.

Alejandro Gomez continues to be their star man, the Argentine grabbing 4 goals and 2 assists in 6 Serie A games this season.

Inter go into the match as favourites, but with how good Atalanta can be on their day they stand a good chance against Conte’s side.

Other Notable Fixtures:

Lazio v Juventus, Sunday 8th November, kick off 11:30

AC Milan v Hellas Verona, Sunday 8th November, kick off 19:45

La Liga

Key Match: Valencia v Real Madrid

Sunday 8th November, kick off 20:00

Despite the media speculation about Real Madrid being in decline, they have been pretty consistent in the league this season and currently sit in second place, far above arch-rivals Barcelona.

The side have struggled for goals this season, with their top scorer in the league being Karim Benzema on 3 goals in 7 games, though their attack has been rejuvenated since Eden Hazard returned from injury.

With Sergio Ramos recently getting his 100th goal for the club, the side still has the players to be one of Europe’s best sides this year.

Valencia have been the polar opposite to Madrid this season, with the club struggling after selling their best players in the summer. They currently sit in 13th after winning just two league games this year.

Madrid are not the best team at the back though, and Valencia still have attacking quality in Maxi Gomez and Lee Kang-In which could cause Zidane’s team some problems.

Other Notable Fixtures:

Barcelona v Real Betis, Saturday 7th November, kick off 15:15

Sevilla v Osasuna, Saturday 7th November, kick off 17:30
