Exeter City have completed their first summer signing, after Maidenhead United's Josh Coley joins the League Two outfit for an undisclosed fee on a two-year deal.
The Stevenage born winger joins the Devon club after an impressive season in the top tier of non-league football, scoring five times and assisting a further seven goals in 37 appearances.
Coley who has been on the clubs radar all season according to Exeter boss Matt Taylor, will wear the number 31 shirt next season.
"Josh is a good attacking player and someone we've watched consistently throughout the last season for Maidenhead," Matt Taylor said of his first summer signing.
Exeter will be the 22-year-olds seventh permanent senior club, after featuring for the likes of Norwich, Hitchin Town and Stotfold following his youth career at York City.
"He has had a taste of a professional environment at Norwich, and in Scotland, and that will prepare him really well for what is next.
"He is someone who always wants to take the opportunity on. He is as quick with the ball as he is without it, and we also have a lot of time to improve certain aspects of his game.
"We're really pleased to get this deal over the line early and thankful to Maidenhead for allowing us to do that. Both parties were very respectful when we put that contract offer in to Josh. The fee remains undisclosed for the benefits of both sides and Josh himself.
"We have had a host of players who have gone onto big things and should he do so, it would reward both ourselves and Maidenhead."
