IN DEMAND: THREE EFL PLAYERS WHO COULD EARN A BIG JANUARY MOVE

With the January transfer window in full swing, clubs across England will be looking to strengthen their team's, to help them reach their summer goals.

The EFL is a hotbed of talent and has produced some of the best players in English football, so let's take a look at THREE players who could find themselves moving up the leagues this month.

BEN BRERETON DIAZ

It seems like ever since Ben Brereton declared for Chile and added his mother's surname, something has just clicked for the attacker.

An integral part in Blackburn's unexpected promotion push, the Chilean has started to show why he was so highly regarded early in his career.

Having already scored 20 times this season, Premier League clubs are starting to take interest, including the likes of West Ham and Newcastle United.

Brereton Diaz is no stranger to pressure, having had an excellent Copa America with the Chile national team and delivering for Blackburn in important moments this season.

A couple years ago, Blackburn fans probably didn't expect to see the £7m they spent on him back, but now they should expect at least triple if a club wants to prise away their star man.

It seems that the attacker will be playing Premier League football in some form next season, whether that be with Blackburn or another club.

If he is to move, then West Ham may be the ideal destination, as he would certainly get minutes and could establish himself as a long-term Michail Antonio replacement.

MATT O'RILEY

Matt O'Riley spent longer than expected without a club, but ever since he arrived at MK Dons, he has reminded people why he was highlighted as a future star at Fulham.

After failing to agree a new deal with the Cottagers, O'Riley spent six months waiting for the right opportunity, and it arrived at the Stadium MK.

Since his arrival, the midfielder has fit right in with the MK Dons possession-based style, first started by Russell Martin and continued by Liam Manning since the former's departure.

That's why it is no shock that he is linked with Martin's new team Swansea City, a team where O'Riley would know the manager and system, and could slot right into their midfield.

However, MK Dons fans will be pleased to know that O'Riley has said that he wants to ignore the speculation and focus on his football.

But if the Englishman is to leave his current club, there is no better place for O'Riley to continue his development then at Swansea, where as mentioned, he will reunite with a former manager and be able to kick straight on.

JOSH KEY

One of Exeter's best players during the behind closed door games, it was no surprise that clubs in higher leagues were looking at Josh Key last summer.

A right back with ability going forwards and in defence, Key looked like a player destined for the top in his first few games for the Grecians.

Manager Matt Taylor has praised his work rate in interviews, which shows he has the right attitude to make it at the top.

But it's not all been perfect for Key this season.

A slow start to the season, that he himself admits was due to the speculation around his future, may have raised a few doubts around his development.

However, Key has played himself back into steady form, becoming a mainstay in an Exeter side searching for that much-needed promotion and showing everyone why Sunderland bid four times for him this summer.

While there is no current rumours surrounding his future, there is a good chance Sunderland will be keeping an eye on the right-back, and possibly look to finally get their man this month.
