Paris St-Germain are hoping to complete several more big-name signings this summer, after already securing the services of Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum and Achraf Hakimi.
Following a disappointing season for the French heavyweights, finishing second in Ligue 1 and losing 4-1 to Manchester City in the Champions League semi-final, Mauricio Pochettino is looking to continue the clubs summer spending.
The early signings of free agents, Ramos, Donnarumma and Wijnaldum, from Real Madrid, AC Milan and Liverpool respectively, present three financially excellent deals.
Alongside the trio of free agents, PSG have also splashed out €60M, on a deal to bring Inter Milan’s, Hakimi to the club.
The introduction of Euro 2020 winning goalkeeper Donnarumma and star defenders Ramos and Hakimi, means PSG’s defence has already been dramatically bolstered.
Looking further up the pitch, Pochettino looks set to bring in further midfield talent, to link up with former Liverpool star Wijnaldum.
It is understood that long-term target, Paul Pogba is number one on the clubs wish list, with the Manchester United star just 12-months away from becoming a free agent.
Titan of the footballing world, Mino Raiola, is already reportedly in talks with the French outfit over personal terms for his client, Paul Pogba.
However, no official approach has yet been made to Manchester United regarding a deal.
It is believed a fee of around £50M is being lined up, but the Old Trafford club will reportedly hold out for closer to £70M.
Further up the pitch however is where the danger could lie for PSG’s opponents next season, as boss Pochettino hopes to create one of the best attacking trio’s in world football.
In a move that would most likely put the French side in pole position to lift the Champions League trophy next season, Cristiano Ronaldo is the final piece of PSG’s summer puzzle.
The deal could see striker Mauro Icardi move in the opposite direction, as five time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo looks to leave Turin based Juventus after just three seasons.
A forward trio of Ronaldo, Mbappe and Neymar, would definitely be a statement of the clubs intent to lift the ever elusive Champions League trophy and would be clear front runners in next seasons Ligue 1 title race.
Mauricio Pochettino didn’t have the best first season in the French capital, but this potential team would be the first huge step in getting his career back on track.
Let’s take a look at how the club could line up next season, if they manage to pull of one of the greatest transfer windows in football history.
