SNAP THEM UP: 5 FREE AGENTS THAT COULD CHANGE YOUR TEAMS SEASON

With Deadline Day soon approaching, many EFL clubs are scrambling around trying to secure all of their targets before the window slam shuts.

While a lot of those targets will more than likely be contracted to other clubs, there are a fair few free agents that could really impact their teams.

So here are five freebies who may find themselves plying their trade in the EFL this season...

Jose Izquierdo

Arriving at Brighton in 2017 after an impressive four year stint with Club Brugge, Jose Izquierdo showed the English fans exactly what he was about rather quickly, scoring a fantastic goal against West Ham.

He followed that up with another spectacular goal for the Seagulls against Stoke City but he struggled to maintain a consistent level of form throughout his time at the Amex.

The Colombian was a very capable player on his day but injuries really prevented him from establishing himself as a Brighton mainstay.

He made his long awaited return from an extended period out towards the end of last season, but he was let go at the end of his contract by Graham Potter.

While his injury record is a concern, there is no reason why the winger could not be a successful player in the Championship, for a team pushing for the play-offs.

Kean Bryan

During the 19/20 season, Kean Bryan was shipped out to Bolton Wanderers on loan and his future at Sheffield United looked bleak.

However, the 20/21 season proved a good one for Bryan, as he was one of the shining lights in what was an awful season for the Blades.

Playing at centre-back, the Englishman managed to win over many at Sheffield United, with a lot of people believing he deserved a new contract.

It seems as if Bryan will soon be back playing, with Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough both linked with a move.

Kadeem Harris

After a two year spell at Sheffield Wednesday, 28-year-old Kadeem Harris finds himself on the free agents list after his release from the aforementioned club.

The winger played 38 times for Wednesday last season, but couldn't prevent them from being relegated from League One.

With Premier League experience under his belt, Harris will be looking to arrive at a Championship club but after a failed trial at Reading, he may have to look at his options in the third tier.

Harris is a solid professional and would benefit most teams especially in League One, but an improvement in his goal contributions would be necessary to see him play at the higher end of the Championship.

Josh Sims

Josh Sims made an instant impact on his Premier League debut, assisting Charlie Austin to secure Southampton a 1-0 win against Everton.

Another assist to help the Saints into the EFL cup final was the best it got for the English winger as he struggled to stay in the first team and was eventually let out on loan.

A poor spell at Reading was followed up a mediocre stint at New York Red Bulls and Sims chances at staying at Southampton decreased even further.

Similar to Harris, Sims has plenty of talent but his output is not enough to warrant a move to a Championship side at this current time.

A better spell at Doncaster before his release under Darren Moore makes a Sheffield Wednesday move possible, but it is not known how true those links are.

Dan Crowley

At 15-years-old, Dan Crowley had impressed Arsene Wenger enough to earn a move to Arsenal and from there, comparisons to Jack Wilshere emerged.

A creative midfielder with quick feet and an eye for a pass, Crowley had Arsenal fans excited but it wasn't to be for him at the Gunners.

Talent was not an issue but concerns about his attitude and his ability to take being out of the team proved a stumbling block in his development.

However, it seems Crowley has sorted any of the attitude problems, maturing through his career experiences and his time at Hull have proved that he is more than capable in England's third tier.

An unsuccessful trial at Cheltenham proved a set back, but it is believed he is currently training at Gillingham and at 24, it would be great for Crowley to find some stability in his career.
